Solid strategy game with good mechanics. Could benefit from more variety in mission types and better tutorial for newcomers.
The core loop is genuinely strong. Fleet composition matters, positioning matters, and the resource pressure is tuned tightly enough that every decision on the campaign map carries weight. Battles play out on a clean three-dimensional grid where line of sight and engagement range do real work, so flanking a heavier fleet with fast interceptors feels earned rather than scripted. The tech tree is broad without being bloated, and the three factions play differently enough that a second campaign run is worth the time. When a fight goes your way, it is because you planned the approach—not because the AI forgot how to play.
The problems are mostly around presentation and pacing. Mission objectives repeat more often than they should, and by the middle of the campaign you have seen most of what the game intends to throw at you. The tutorial explains the interface but not the strategy, which leaves newcomers to work out the supply and morale systems on their own—usually by losing a few hours first. Performance is stable and the interface is readable once you know it, but a handful of key mechanics are buried in submenus with no explanation at all. Worth playing if you already enjoy the genre and do not mind a steep opening few hours; harder to recommend as someone's first tactics game.
